Product Research & Development:
Rafique Seeds is at present engaged in the Research and Development (R & D), production and marketing of hybrid seeds of Vegetables, Field crops, Oil seeds, Flower seeds, Ornamental and landscape plants.
The mandate includes crop improvement in respect of hybrids and varieties development suitable for different agro-climatic zones having a high tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses coupled with high yield and quality. The Company is focused on maximizing the yield for the sustainability of Agriculture.
On the product development for seed business, the company is successful in developing several markets competitive F1 hybrid varieties are Bitter Gourd (Omar – 1), Bottle Gourd (Popular & Popular Green), Cucumber (Haven, Paradise & Sunrise), Pumpkin (Onik – 1 & Onik – 2), Snake Gourd (Galaxy) & Sponge Gourd (Moonlight) and open-pollinated variety is Radish (Early 35) etc.
Quality Assurance:
A dedicated and professional team is employed to monitor the quality of hybrids at all times. Seed Testing Laboratory conducts the following test as per the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) rules for seed testing:
Physical Purity: Pure seed %; Inert matter % and Other seeds %;
Germination test:
Quick Viability Test by Tetrazolium Test;
Determination of moisture content.
Moreover, we have our own field facility for conducting Grow out tests (GOT).
